Using THE estimation tools
You are very welcome to try out are new material estimators that we have developed in-house. These are meant as a guide to help you determine the quantities for your project. Many things can affect the finished quantities required so please just use this to help you plan but please check the results. If you discover any mistakes please let us know.
The estimators help you work out how many pots of various sizes can be filled from different compost bags, the amount of compost needed to fill a rectangular raised bed, the distance for planting different hedging, a required quantity of different aggregates and landscaping calculator, fencing calculator and decking estimator. We have included a general conversions calculator too.
Work out roughly how many pots you can fill with one bag of compost. We use standard nursery pot dimensions, so real-world fill volumes can shift based on how firmly you pack compost, the rootball you add, and any headroom you leave.
